Shirt: Textured purple with a vertical light beige column featuring a simple pattern. Polyester cotton and made in New Zealand. Size L. A comfortable wear despite a less than ideal fit. Nice large pocket.

Shirt: Perfection in mustard yellow with different sized traditional sail boats and lush island scenes. Royal Creations brand. Made in Hawaii. Size L. Matched pocket. 65% polyester and 35% cotton. I think everyone who saw me in this at work last Friday commented about how it made them forget it was the middle of winter.

Shirt: The third Lion Red beer branded garment in the collection, featuring dudes skateboarding, fishing, surfing and relaxing. Includes shots of iconic New Zealand flax, cabbage trees, pohutakawa in flower, what looks like an old Kingswood with surfboards on the roof and women in bikinis. Branded Lion Red and made in New Zealand of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. Rather roomy, but if you’re a serious beer drinker it is probably a good idea to have some room to expand.

Shirt: Genius masterpiece with four button down pockets on the front, bizarre belt sewn across the back, split in the centre at the back rather than the sides and a huge reinforced collar. Made from Malaysian batik fabric and made in New Zealand by Klipper of 100% cotton. Size OS. Features black figures with exaggerated forearms and necks wearing headdresses on a blue background. Sleeves and bottom done in an Aztec like design. There is so much going on with this garment. So much to like.

Shirt: Dark blue with brown and off white painted designs in circles, zig zags, spirals and diamonds. A Geoff Williams design, claiming to be designed in New Zealand and made in China of 100% cotton. Size M. Feels like a one of a kind.

Shirt: Patchy blue with dark blue hibiscus flowers filled in with wavy lines. Bold dark silhouette around the waist of coconut trees and shrubs. Button but unmatched pocket. Opportunity to match the pattern down the centre missed. L Bay Clothing brand. Size L. Feels synthetic and flammable.

Shirt: Dark blue with small light blue pairs of palm trees. A first entry for the Just Jeans brand which may or may not still exist. 100% cotton. Made in China. Size M. Branded buttons a nice touch.

Shirt: Horizontal yellow bands with black triangles and traditional swirls in yellow, grey and white. Kau Kauwa brand, made in Fiji. Matched pocket with tag. Size XOS. Has a good feel to it, although hard to judge the right occasion for a shirt such as this.
