Shirt: Unusual beige example with simple coconut branches and zebras with no knees. Satisfaction Fittz brand. Collar boasts it’s ‘made of the best materials we know of’ but seems to be cotton. Strange strip of elastic below shoulders gives the back an odd bunched look. Made good by large, double, button-down pockets which are awesome.

Shirt: Another example of classy Thai design and high quality production. Hidden buttons. Off colour sleeves and pockets a nice touch. Beautiful tans and browns with sweeping images from the reef. Given a XXL tag for unknown reasons. No other tags. Such a delight.

Shirt: Black red and beige with bold tribal patterns. Beautiful Superior Materials. 65% cotton and 35% polyester. Bravely stitched in white cotton. Size M but really a large.

Shirt: White with light and dark blue and yellow tropical leaves. Quick Zone brand made in Thailand. Curious sweat band sewn across shoulders on the inside. Perfect for hot days in the tropics I guess.

Shirt: Very green with white hibiscus on a background of tribal patterns and tropical vegetation. Stencilled turtles have a hibiscus body which is genius. Disappointingly unmatched pocket. Mareko Island Creations but no other details.

Shirt: Totally sensational blue and white with a huge surfer front and back and on both sleeves. Nicely matched through the front buttons. Switchbak brand. Made in China. Size M. Difficult to say what the right occasion for this shirt would be. It’s certainly not the office on a Friday anyway.

Shirt: Super cool with Woody convertibles and surf stationwagons on a background of large faint pineapples chains of flowers and tall palm trees. A large M let down by an unmatched pocket. Turbine brand. Made in China. 100% polyester. Feels highly flammable.

Shirt: Unusual light blue and grey example from Nixon St SW1. Size M. Simple vertical patterns with a plain front side and back. The button pocket is curiously on the left. Oh and these Velcro strips would be perfect for shoulder pads. That explains the left hand drive buttons. Yes, this is a women’s shirt plucked from the men’s aisle at my favourite Op Shop. Oh well, not the first time. Comfortable course fabric.

Shirt: Amazing polyester cotton number in brown and aubergine with plant and tribal patterns in various layers. Edges of large leaves and hibiscus incredibly finished in gold glitter! Proudly made in New Zealand. I’m not sure the office is ready for this kind of thing on Friday.
