Shirt: Marvellous olives and blues – leaves and branches. Viscose rayon. Made in Australia. Super light and comfortable despite not having a lot of room in it. Moody and mysterious.

Shirt: Dark blue with white hibiscus with ukulele cleverly included. Bands of tribal patterns across chest, hips and sleeves. Disastrous oddly shaped and mismatched pocket. Unknown brand but 100% rayon. Looked great on the rack, but very small. Fortunate not to blow a button when this bus turned up. Bus driver hesitated and floored it.

Shirt: Pineapple Connection brand. 100% cotton. Made in Bangladesh which I thought for a long time was in Africa. Off white with faint white tribal patterns with bold green hibiscus flowers and leaves. Finely drawn black coconut trees and other small shapes that could be anything. Size L. Unmatched front pocket with pineapple tag. Comfortable and unique.

Shirt: Thick, stiff orange number with no tags. Massive collar. Stamped with a light blue or dark blue flower pattern – sometimes in the same spot. Sewn by someone new to sewing, in a hurry. Buttons unusually close to the edge with terribly finished button holes. All of the material used so the inside features rows of manufacturing feed holes and raw edges. Wildly sewn unmatched pocket. There is so much to dislike about this shirt and yet, so much to love.

Shirt: One of the best I’ve got. Light blue with subtle dark blue branches. Tremendous Sarus Cranes throughout. Sarus Cranes are found in India, Southeast Asia and Australia and eat basically anything. They mate for life and are said to starve themselves to death when their partner dies. Not my plan. Park brand. Made in China. 100% cotton. A perfect fit. Looks brilliant.
